Dr. Erika Pluhar, PhD, EdS, LMFT, CST-S

Erika Pluhar is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Licensed Professional Counselor. She is certified as a Sex Therapist and Supervisor by the American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors, and Therapists (AASECT). In addition to private practice in couple and sex therapy, she has researched and taught in the field of human sexuality for over 20 years. She completed her undergraduate schooling at Cornell University and graduate training at the University of Pennsylvania and Georgia State University.

Dr. Pluhar provides individual, relationship, and group therapy, as well as clinical supervision and training for professionals. She enjoys working with a variety of relationship and sexual concerns such as low/absent desire, desire discrepancy, pelvic pain/painful sex, arousal and orgasm difficulties, life changes such as childbirth, loss, or chronic illness that impact sexuality and intimacy, and healing sexual trauma. She works with individuals, couples, and relationship systems with an active, directive approach that is also rooted in a caring, deep understanding of emotional and attachment dynamics.
